Learning, Access & Participation

Brighton Dome works year-round to bring all sorts of art to all sorts of people.

Our Learning, Access & Participation (LAP) department is unashamedly evangelical. We believe that with the help of teams of talented professional artists, we can provide experiences that expand possibilities, develop skills and have the power to transform lives.

Brighton Dome believes in a universal right to the arts. We continually explore creative ways to get people involved in the arts, including many who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. Each year, the work of our LAP team reaches over 15,000 people in Brighton & Hove and beyond.

We aim to enthuse, to stimulate and to challenge with a rolling programme of workshops, courses, performances and creative learning projects. We aim to build lasting partnerships with artists and organisations that evolve into innovative projects and memorable experiences. Whether we're presenting interactive theatre for under-5s or hosting weekly contemporary dance classes for over-60s, you're never too young or too old to take part.

We're proud to have touched many people’s lives, making them richer, fuller and happier because of our interventions. Explore the links to the left to find out more about what we do and how you can get involved.
