Part-time, 3 days per week (hybrid working)
Between £21,000-23,000 per annum, pro rata
This new role is an opportunity to join our friendly and successful Development Team as a Development Officer focussing on existing and new donation schemes and community giving initiatives to increase revenue through lower-level giving - from year-round ticket buyer donations to crowdfunding and name-a-seat campaigns.
Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is a registered charity, entering an exciting year with the expected completion of the refurbishment of the Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre venues. From the annual Brighton Festival in May, a year-round programme of live events by world renowned artists and performers at Brighton Dome, to inspiring the next generation of musicians with our education service, Create Music - we reach wide and diverse communities across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.
We believe in the power of the arts to change lives and you’ll play a vital role in developing relationships with supporters who help us make it all happen.
You’ll ideally have experience in working with supporters/customers in a fundraising or marketing environment, preferably in the charity sector. You’ll be able to demonstrate strong administration and data management skills with a high level of accuracy and excellent all-round communication and computer literacy skills. The role requires your willingness to learn and adapt on the job in a busy working environment.
It might be that you have acquired your experience during a voluntary position that you’ve held, or a campaign that you’ve run to promote your own work or interests. These are valid skills and we encourage you to show us how you can transfer them to this role. If you feel passionate about arts and creativity and if you care for the community, we would love to hear from you.
We have new offices opening in the summer in central Brighton. Development team members work in a hybrid manner, but mainly from home.
