HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MUSIC

Create Music are looking to appoint new members to their board, supporting them to realise their goals and continue to support young people in the South East.

Create Music transforms the lives of children and young people in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex through access to the lifelong gift of music. Offering music lessons, ensembles, projects, workshops, orchestras and a yearly summer school, Create Music is the region’s leading provider of music and arts education.

They serve a population of over 170,000 children and young people, offering services to 262 schools and working with an actively engaged and growing network of over 25 partner organisations.

Create Music have a long history of delivering high-quality, inclusive music education and an established way of working with a large group of partner organisations, schools, young people and stakeholders from different sectors to develop our collective strategic vision for music in the region.

They would particularly like to hear from prospective new board members who have recent and relevant skills or experience working within the following areas:

  • financial and accounting
  • legal
  • business leadership
  • music industry and skills training
  • fundraising
  • marketing
  • headteacher or leader of a primary/secondary school.

Create Music values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We are actively seeking to increase representation of the Create Music Board and welcome applications from groups that are currently under-represented, in order that the Board better reflects the diversity of our learners and wider community.
