This is an exciting opportunity to join our frontline team as an Event Manager. Your role will include managing a variety of events in the vibrant and historic Brighton Dome Concert Hall and across the city and beyond during the Brighton Festival in May. It is a particularly interesting time to join us as we prepare to reopen the redeveloped Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre.

Your time will be split between Duty Managing events and with coordinating our conferences and private events as well as running community and schools events.

As an Event Manager you will have overall responsibility for the smooth running of events and leading the stewards and security staff while they are on shift. Our events include standing rock & pop, contemporary dance, comedy, classical music, family events and much more. You will provide the all important first impression at events leading the team and ensuring the health, safety and enjoyment of all attending. You will provide exceptional customer service and be a passionate advocate of diversity and inclusivity ensuring that all our events and venues are welcoming and accessible.

Advancing the conference and private events programme and community events will give you an opportunity to use your production skills and technical knowledge to organise exceptional events from contract stage through to the event itself. You will create events plans, risk assessments and plan staffing, catering and technical equipment.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in Office 365 and able to learn other IT systems quickly and effectively.
