Jun – Aug 20, 1 day a week, £200 per day
We are looking for a representative, based in or around Brighton and Hove, to be part of a new national task force of self-employed theatre and performance makers. You will be tasked with coordinating wider conversations with freelancers in our community, to join regular meetings with the task force, work on ideas with and for the task force, and to attend other meetings and events on behalf of the task force.
This group of freelancers will form a working group for the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre. Information, ideas and needs will be fed directly into discussions with government and the 25 charities being coordinated by SOLT and UK Theatre to support everyone in the industry.
This is a paid, self-employed position, the equivalent of one day a week for 3 months, June, July and August 2020. If you are interested, please read the open letter that Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival signed along with many other arts organisation, here. This describes the mission of the task force and why it is needed. Then contact us at HR@brightondome.org with a few sentences about yourself and how you would want to shape the role to affect change at a grassroots and a national level.
We expect this representative to be well-networked and aware of the needs and interests of a wide variety of roles and circumstances, particular to those working self employed in the arts.
