Logistics Supervisor (Bars)

Part time Annualised Hours – 1560 hours over 52 weeks including holiday

Salary £17,784 per 52 weeks / £11.40 per hour

(Average 30 hrs a week variable in line with operational needs)

Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join its highly successful bars team. As we look ahead to the opening of the refurbished Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre this is an exciting time to join us as we plan the delivery of the new bars and catering offer.

Working with the bars management team, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, safety and security of the cellar, stores, bars and kitchens in preparation for events, ensuring effective delivery of Bars and Catering operations within Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival.

We are looking for a confident and experienced bars professional who combines excellent stock management skills with experience of bars and cellar work, to include receiving of deliveries, line cleaning, point of sale systems, COSHH and health and safety procedures. You will be a highly organised and methodical person who enjoys working with others but is happy to work independently.

The Logistics Supervisor is vital in helping us maintain a clean and safe environment and works closely with other operational departments to ensure the bars and foyers are ready to welcome visitors to a variety of events, from large scale standing gigs and classical concerts to conferences and meetings.

The successful applicant will mainly work weekdays but must be able to work some evenings and weekends as part of a varied rota in line with event requirements and in the run up to the reopening of the venues. This is an annualised hours contract; You will work a total of 1560hrs including holiday across the year with an average of 30hrs a week. The number of shifts worked per week will vary in line with operational needs, but the monthly salary will remain the same.
