Rum 'n' Bass - Dennis Alcapone
plus DJs
A welcome return of the ever popular Rum 'n' Bass, Brighton's Black History Month annual party.
This year's serving of reggae, rice 'n' peas features sets from 70s pioneering DJ toaster Dennis Alcapone backed by reggae ska band Dubcats featuring Black Steel, plus DJ support from Prince Fatty.
Nicknamed the ‘Originator’ in the early 70’s, Alcapone was part of a triumvirate of toasters alongside U-Roy and Big Youth who ruled the island and brought the art of DJ’ing to new heights.
Don't miss this night of classic Jamaican sounds plus food and refreshments courtesy of Cummin' Up Caribbean kitchen.
