Update: Accessibility improvements in our Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre
16 Mar 2019
As part of the major redevelopment works to our Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre, and the brand-new spaces, improvements are being made to ensure all areas are more accessible for everyone.
This includes new and accessible toilets, new hearing assistance systems, and a new public lift inside the Ticket Office, providing wheelchair access to all levels of the Foyer, Corn Exchange, Studio Theatre and Creative Space.
Redevelopment works to the Studio Theatre will increase flexibility of the space meaning an increased seating capacity, including new wheelchair positions, and balcony seating. There will also be improved access into the space with a new lift.
In the new Gallery, a lift will be installed to give visitors access to all levels, including the two new bars and the Creative Space.
Access improvements being made during our redevelopment also include backstage areas, where there will be new facilities for disabled artists, more accessible dressing rooms for performers, and increased accessibility to the stage door entrance.
