Coronavirus (COVID-19): Your Booking at Brighton Dome

Since we closed our doors on 17 March due to the Coronavirus lockdown, we have been liaising with all our artists, promoters and partners and working hard to safeguard the future of our venue and our organisation. We have now rescheduled a number of events and sadly there are some we have needed to cancel.

We know many of you have bookings for events later this or next year, which we are still hoping to be able to present. We'll stay in touch with you as Government advice develops and if events are rescheduled or postponed at any point we will let you know as soon as possible.

In order to survive the loss of 67% of our income we have had to reduce our staff capacity during this time but you can still contact our Ticket Office by email and they will respond as quickly as they can with any questions.

If any events are cancelled or you are unable to attend a rescheduled date we will always offer three options:

  • to receive a ticket voucher for future events at Brighton Dome or Brighton Festival (valid for 18 months)
  • to receive a full refund of your tickets value via the original payment method (excluding the per order fee and any postage)
  • to donate some or all of the value of your tickets to Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival

We are extremely grateful for the many donations and messages of support we have received to date

Each performance is being reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we will be in touch to let you know how and if your booking has been affected, so please keep an eye on your emails. Please check your email is correct in your online account. We will also be updating individual event pages as we have news relating to them.

Cancelled Events

This information only applies if your show is cancelled and not rescheduled, we are working with artists and performers to reschedule as many shows as possible. Please check your emails in the coming weeks for up to date information about your booking.

All ticket holders are eligible for a full refund of your tickets value via the original payment method by which the purchase was made. This is excluding any postage or per order fees.

We would like you to consider as an alternative accepting a ticket voucher to the value of your tickets valid for 18 months for performances at Brighton Dome or Brighton Festival, or a partial refund and part donation amount of your choice to support us as an arts charity in these challenging times.

Please contact our ticket office tickets@brightondome.org, by the date suggested in your email correspondence, if you are happy to receive a voucher or wish to make a full or part donation. All remaining bookings after that date will be processed for a full refund of the tickets value. Our Ticket Office will contact cash purchasers.

Rescheduled Events

If an event is rescheduled we will let you know by email and usually all existing tickets will remain valid so there is nothing more for you to do.  If you are unable to make the rescheduled performance date please contact our ticket office tickets@brightondome.org, by the date suggested in your email correspondence to arrange a refund of your tickets value. 

You will also then have the option to convert your booking to a voucher for future events or make a donation.  If order to receive a refund we will need to see evidence of your original tickets voided for use We are happy to accept a photograph emailed to us as it is not currently possible for you to post your original tickets back to us.

We are home to thousands of your treasured memories. Remember the awe you felt dancing to your favourite band in such a grand yet intimate space? Perhaps you were one of the lucky ones to see David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust tour or watch ABBA win Eurovision live on TV broadcast from our stage? Or maybe you shed a tear when your child first performed on our stage for a classical concert, or when they nailed their Let’s Dance routine?

Whatever your connection with us, we want to carry on being part of your lives, creating memories and inspiring the next generation of artists and musicians. We know we need to fight hard to stay here for our community because we will all need the arts more than ever when we emerge from this crisis.
