Supporters' Events

We offer a range of activities to our Members and Patrons including behind-the-scenes access to rehearsals, the Brighton Festival launch each year, chances to meet the artists, social events and our annual Christmas event. All Bronze Members can reserve one place per event (two with a Double Membership, and four with a Family Membership).

Backstage tour of Concert Hall

A unique opportunity to climb up into the domed ceiling of Brighton Dome’s Concert Hall and stand on the tension wire grid overlooking the auditorium. The tour will take place during our Heritage Open Day (10am – 4.30pm)

James McVinnie Brighton Dome Organ Recital  - Complimentary tickets

One of the world’s most sought-after organists, James McVinnie, performs an afternoon recital on Brighton Dome’s historic organ followed by an evening of music by Philip Glass on organ and piano to include Glassworks, In the Upper Room, Etudes for piano, Dance 4, and Trilogy Sonata. After the lunchtime recital there will be a Q&A.

The Basement
The Works is an ongoing series dedicated to developing theatre makers, dancers, choreographers, musicians, poets and visual artists working in cross-art form and interdisciplinary exploration. Presented as part of a commitment by Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival to support the development of artists, The Works is an opportunity for artists to seek the opinions of the audience they wish to attract, and an opportunity for people who care about performance to engage in collective dramaturgy and development.

Brighton Dome in its Place – A presentation from Philip Morgan

An analysis of the beginning of Brighton Dome’s life as an entertainment venue. Concentrating on the period from 1867 to about 1900, Philip will outline what led to the Dome’s conversion from stables to concert hall and sketch what else was going on in the world of live entertainment around Brighton at that time, including the Theatre Royal and the Hippodrome.

Make a night of it and get tickets for the feelgood and uplifting highlight of the festive season - The Big Christmas Singalong!  Organised by The Choir with No Name which runs choirs for homeless and marginalised people, the two choirs will be from London and Brighton.
