Dobet Gnahoré Na Drê Dance
Tue 1 Jul 2014
Dobet Gnahoré is hailed as one of the freshest talents in new African music. She sings in seven languages and embraces a wide variety of musical styles from using her native popular music called ziglibiti and other West African Mandinka melodies to those from further afield like Congolese rumba and Cameroonian bikoutsi. As a true polyglot, she masters and sings in many African languages including Swahili, which is from the opposite side of the continent from where she grew up.
