Marking the centenary of the birth of those jazz icons, NCO (originally Tomorrow's Warriors Jazz Orchestra) delivers a spectacular evening combining archive film portraits with big band classics featuring some of the finest jazz musicians of the moment. With electrifying performances from the likes of award-winning saxophonists Binker Golding (Binker & Moses) and Nathaniel Facey (Empirical), the renowned Byron Wallen on trumpet; and internationally acclaimed double bassist Gary Crosby (Jazz Jamaica) under the directorship of acclaimed composer, pianist and conductor Peter Edwards.
Opening the show for these outstanding artists are talented young musicians from six Brighton schools performing as part of The Jazz Ticket schools programme.
