SPECTRUM: Venue B Takeover

Wed 18 May 2016

Venue B takes over Brighton Dome Studio Theatre again for another fantastic live music event - this time as part of B.fest: Brighton Youth Arts Festival, a week-long Festival showcasing and celebrating the talents of young people across the city.

Venue B was created for the simple purpose of giving Young People more opportunities to perform and watch live music. With a stunning line up of acts soon to be announced this is going to be loud and a night to remember.

The Ferns

A Brighton based, alternative rock band, with a vintage guitar sound accompanied by swirling synth and organ. All the band are around 18 years old and have been playing music in various Brighton bands for many years. They know how to put on a show! They combine New York rock - e.g. Velvet Underground, the Strokes, Parquet Courts, with a groove based psychedelic sound drawing from bands such as Tame Impala and the Stone Roses.

grasshopper

'Startlingly young indie band from Brighton have blown our minds with this accomplished & considered, brooding indie rock EP.... fuelled by that inimitable energy of youthful exuberance, grasshopper prove there's plenty of talent to come in Brighton's musical future, putting bands with twice their years & ten times their bank roll to shame.’
