Resonators 'Imaginary People' Album Launch

Wed 20 Jul 2016

Nine piece dub/reggae group Resonators celebrate the release of their third studio album Imaginary People (out Fri 30 Sep). The album sees Resonators release their heaviest, deepest production to date. Steeped in psychedelic dub, Resonators create a cross-over sound with an appeal beyond just reggae fans.

The first single from the album, Healer has already gained support on both BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Known for their infectious energy and positive vibes, their live show sees sound engineer Darren Jamtone mixing and dubbing the band, taking techniques from the studio to the stage to create an immersive psychedelic live dub experience. This is a rare chance to see Resonators at their own headline show, showcasing material from the new album for the very first time, alongside live favourites from their back catalogue.

'There's a long history of UK musicians stamping their own identity on Jamaican sounds, with successive generations of bands successfully melding the two distinct cultures. Resonators proudly carry the tradition forwards, adding a distinctly British aesthetic to dubwise production and infusing elements from the Bass Music explosion of recent years' Mercury Music Prize Recommends
