Brighton Digital Festival at Brighton Dome

With 2016 marking the sixth consecutive Brighton Digital Festival – an annual celebration of digital culture that takes place across Brighton and Hove every September – we’re proud to be hosting a number of events here at Brighton Dome
Here’s what to look out for…
Reasons To: (5-7 Sep) The conference for designers and coders returns with an eclectic line-up of some of the best international speakers in design and code including Stefan Sagmeister, Marian Bantjes, Erik Kessels, Jessica Hische, Wilfrid Wood, and Joshua Davis.
The Long Progress Bar 2016 (8 Sep), a festival celebrating radical imagination, with talks, screenings and live music. During the day speakers include Aimee Cliff, associate editor of The Fader, and Turner Prize-nominated artist Roger Hiorns, while there will be screenings of films by the likes of David Blandy & Larry Achiampong and Embassy for the Displaced. The evening programme of music includes a DJ set from pioneering underground electronic artist and MC GAIKA.
Bring Your Own Beamer(16-17 Sep), Pop-Up Brighton’s projection-based event with experimentation and collaboration at its heart. The event runs over two days, with three areas of projection based art each evening and a range of workshops during Saturday daytime, including unique yoga sessions, shadow puppet making, and artist talks.
SPECTRUM Digital Festival Special (23 Sep). Electronic beats and stunning visuals combine in the latest in the series which sees Brighton Dome partner with Resident Records. Music in the Studio Theatre will come from Inwards, the musical project of kristian shelley, a british born multi instrumentalist and music programmer; Mount Bank the solo project of Samuel Organ, focusing on his passion for experimental electronic music and modern classical; and Eva Bowan, a Polish born UK based multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of Music, Graphic Design, Photography, Video and Illustration.
