SPECTRUM's Site & Sound video project teams up with Brighton Musicians

21 Jun 2016

SPECTRUM Site & Sound offers local musicians and film makers the exciting opportunity to collaborate and showcase their unique talent in new and creative ways.

Musicians are given the chance to exclusively explore our incredible Grade I listed venues which make powerful back-drops perfect for these stunning live sessions. The experience is fun, stimulating and rewarding, spurring the imagination and encouraging creativity in the work that goes into the performance and production. The live videos are a valuable addition to portfolios and give a much deserved boost to up and coming Brighton acts.

Experimental producer and live 4-piece band LUO, took to our Concert Hall afterhours to perform their track In the Dark and whip up a frenzy of rhythm and melody.

Also in the series, the fantastic Abraham Moughrabi performed an acoustic version of his song Cross the Line, alongside the brilliant Faye Houston and Graham Sowerby.

Our next feature, captured alternative electronic jazz group, Calico, combining live instruments with elements of electronica.

This latest one-shot video video features horn heavy, groove based quintet Barnacles

Our SPECTRUM project discovers and promotes new music and the eclectic and the extraordinary musicians that reflect Brighton’s flourishing music scene.

Check out the SPECTRUM Facebook page for up-to-the-minute info on the gigs and lots more.
