Heath Quartet
Tue 1 Jul 2014
Wolf Italian Serenade
Bartók String Quartet No. 1 Op. 7
Beethoven String Quartet No. 14 Op. 131
A regular guest at Europe’s leading concert venues, the Heath Quartet journeys from the lilting melody of Wolf’s Italian Serenade to the immensity of Beethoven’s late masterpiece, of which Schubert asked ‘after this, what is left for us to write?’. Along the way, Bartók's String Quartet No. 1 moves from funeral sobriety to folksong-inspired optimism.
We are pleased to announce that Brighton Dome’s Coffee Concerts series in association with Strings Attached is now part of the CAVATINA Scheme which provides free tickets for anyone aged 8 – 25 to attend classical music concerts. More information on the scheme and how to claim tickets here.
