Dome Connect
Join us for Dome Connect, Brighton Dome’s series of business networking events.
Dome Connect takes place in our reopened venues, showcasing the best of our artistic programme and giving you a chance to meet other like-minded professionals from across the city.
For our first event of the year, we are thrilled to host a talk and Q&A with the creative team from Diverse City, who will bring their show, Mid Life, to Brighton Dome.
Mid Life explores the unspoken realities of the menopause and asks why they are unspoken. The play follows Claire, a frustrated disco champion, Jacqui, a grandmother fed up with being the only black woman in the room, and Karen, a survivor struggling to be seen. Through the stories of these women, the play explores universal themes of rage, grief, anxiety, and transformation.
Starting at 5.30pm, we will be joined by Claire Hodgson, Founder and Joint-Artistic Director of Diverse City, and Jamie Beddard, Co-Artistic Director, to discuss diversity in the theatre, the power of midlife women and Diverse City’s wider work.
Following the Q&A, there will be time to network and get to know your fellow guests, before seeing the show in the Studio Theatre at 7.30pm. If you want to stay for the disco afterwards, then please do!
Interested but unable to join us this time? No need to worry as we have 3 more events planned this year!
