Live at Brighton Dome

Sun 19 Nov 2017

Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances Rob Delaney will not be appearing at Brighton Dome on February 3rd. We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and hope to bring him to this venue again in the near future. We are however excited to announce that Daniel Kitson will now be joining the programme as compère, with Tim Key performing the headline set.

We're thrilled to announce this top-class line-up of some of the best stand-ups around, coming together for a special night at Brighton Dome.

Tim Key

Winner of the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show in 2009, poet and comedian Tim Key has frankly managed to fit quite a lot of stuff in, including writing 3 books, releasing an album (Tim Key. With a String Quartet. On a Boat.), creating and presenting a number of BBC Radio 4 series including the acclaimed Tim Key's Late Night Poetry Programme, as well as a string of hugely successful stand-up shows.

He has acted in films including Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, Richard Ayoade's The Double, in television shows including Inside No. 9, Detectorists, Alan Partridge: Mid Morning Matters, and as part of the sketch troupe Cowards. He has starred on stage in the 2016/17 revival of Yasmina Reza’s Art, and Daniel Kitson's 2015 play Tree, both at the Old Vic in London.

‘He is a genius plain and simple’ ★★★★★ Time Out

'An unsung hero of British Comedy' The Metro

'flabbergastingly funny... I have never enjoyed myself more in a comedy show' ★★★★★ The Times

Nish Kumar

Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee Nish Kumar has earned a place in the last few years as one of the UK's top political comedy talents. He is the star of BBC2’s The Mash Report and BBC Radio 4’s NewsJack and Spotlight Tonight with Nish Kumar, and is a regular co-host of satirical comedy podcast The Bugle

Nish has been a guest on Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, QI, The Alternative Comedy Experience and Taskmaster on Dave.

‘Nish Kumar is the Asian answer to John Oliver.’ ★★★★ Chortle

‘Utterly brilliant.’★★★★★ Time Out

Kiri Pritchard-McLean

As well as being the director and writer of the award-winning sketch group Gein's Family Giftshop, Kiri Pritchard McLean has appeared on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, BBC Radio 4's Now Show and News Quiz, starred in her own Sky Arts special Horror: I've Got Your Number, and co-hosts the popular podcast All Killa No Filla with comedian Rachel Fairburn.

Kiri's solo stand-up shows Hysterical Woman and Appropriate Adult have tackled the thorny subjects of misogyny and volunteering with vulnerable children to critical acclaim.

'clever, interesting, original and funny' The Scotsman

'McLean is easily one of the must-see comedians on the circuit today.' ★★★★★ Broadway Baby

Daniel Kitson

He's been hailed as one of the funniest, most intelligent and perceptive comics ever to pick up a mic, however you'd be forgiven for knowing nothing about British comic Daniel Kitson. The brightest and best of his generation also ranks as its biggest outsider, avoiding the mainstream publicity usually sought by comedians.

'Kitson is a defiantly compelling performer whose solo shows, which are both intensely theatrical and highly literate, tend to center on the forlorn and neglected.' ★★★★ Guardian

Enjoy this very special and rare chance to see Kitson take to the stage as compere for this stellar line-up.
