Shakespears Sister
Shakespears Sister, made up of Siobhan Fahey and Marcella Detroit, have sold over 1 million albums in the UK with Sacred Heart and Hormonally Yours. In 1992 their single Stay was Number One in the UK for eight weeks and Top 5 in the US. Their other Top 10 hits include You’re History and I Don’t Care.
The video for Stay was directed by award winning director Sophie Muller, and in 1992 was awarded a Brit for Best Video. Most impressively, in 1993 Hormonally Yours won the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contemporary Song Collection
Siobhan and Marcella were reunited in 2018 and decided to write some music together for the first time in over 25 years. The result is a new single All The Queen’s Horses, the album Singles Party featuring all the band’s singles (plus 2 new tracks) and a UK tour this November.
