Warpaint

Art-rockers Warpaint have returned from a year-long hiatus with their third studio album, Heads Up and are coming to Brighton Dome in March with new songs and old favourites alike.

The new set of tracks takes the bands’ influences, ranging from Dr Dre to David Bowie, and filters them through their experiences of performing live to make for some unforgettably kinetic and energetic music, which is even better witnessed in person.

Heads Up was recorded after the band spent 2015 apart working on solo projects. Reuniting in January this year, the band started to work with producer Jacob Bercovici, whom they had worked on their debut EP ‘Exquisite Corpse’ – into the studio to begin work on the new LP.

'I Feel really proud of what we made – almost surprised,' says bassist Jenny Lee Linberg 'When we were making it, I was like 'I wonder what this is going to sound like? How’s this going to come together so nicely?' I feel so proud of it, and like its an evolution of our band, It sounds like a mature version of Warpaint'
