Fiend
Nijinsky’s fabled dance solo L’après midi d’un faun (Afternoon of a Faun) is the starting point for this exploration of how we see and how we are seen in today’s digital world. The first collaboration between the dance artist Tim Casson and the video technician Tom Butterworth, Fiend uses live video to enable the dancer to interact with multiple versions of himself as he searches for connection in his virtual world.
Supported by dancedigital & University of Bedfordshire, Greenwich Dance, Jasmin Vardimon Company and Arts Council England.

[arra]stre
Dance and data collide and coalesce in a performance that derives its movements from computer science theory. In a perfect fusion of art and technology, this unique visualisation of the science that we all use every day creates images triggered by dancers’ data and visions dictated by wearable technology and the choreography itself. A collaboration between dance students and computer science students at Battle Abbey School, [arra]stre uses ballet to break down the theories and concepts that underpin information technology.
