In an evening concert marking the start of our 2016/17 chamber music season with Strings Attached, the Doric String Quartet – described by Gramophone as ‘one of the finest young string quartets’ – pairs the elemental power of Bartók’s Fourth String Quartet with Debussy’s early G minor Quartet, a work that threw out the rulebook in search of expressive freedom.
The Doric String Quartet has firmly established itself as the leading British string quartet of its generation, receiving enthusiastic responses from audiences and critics across the globe.
