PCS has teamed up with the #JC4PM tour to host a spectacular event during this year’s TUC Conference featuring some of the country's most sought after speakers, poets, musicians and comedians.
The night is hosted by PCS General Secretary Mark Serwotka and performers include:
Billy Bragg, singer/songwriter and political activist (‘Red Wedge’, ‘A new England’, ‘Between the Wars’, 'To Have and To Have Not'). He has supported many campaigns over the years, including the 1984 miners’ strike and Charter 88.
Francesca Martinez, comedian (‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’), actress (‘Extras’), author (‘What the **** is Normal?’), radio panelist (‘The News Quiz’)
Attila the Stockbroker, punk poet who was launched into public consciousness by legendary Radio One DJ John Peel in 1982/83, and he has spent 35 years touring the world, performing well over 3,000 gigs in 24 countries and releasing 40 LPs/EPs/CDs and seven books of poetry.
Robin Ince, comedian ('The Alternative Comedy Experience') TV panellist ('What the Dickens', 'The Review Show', 'The Wright Stuff', 'Argumental'), actor ('The Office, Lab Rats'), radio presenter ('The Infinite Monkey Cage')
Grace Petrie, singer/songwriter (described by the Guardian as “a powerful new songwriting voice”). Has made several appearances on BBC4’s ‘The Now Show’ and has recorded seven highly acclaimed albums.
Steve Gribbin, comedian (veteran of 'Saturday Night Live', 'Red Wedge', regular performer at 'Cutting Edge' at London's Comedy Store).
Grainne Maguire, comedian (‘Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience”, “Stephen K Amos’ An Idiots Guide”, radio (“Women’s Hour”). TV panelist ('Question Time')
