The pioneering company with an international reputation for innovative site-responsive theatre
This pioneering Brighton-based company has developed an international reputation for creating innovative site-responsive theatre that takes audiences on extraordinary journeys.
Its relationship with Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival dates back to early commissions Who Goes There? (2001), Don't Look Back (2003) and Underground (2005). Before I Sleep− a promenade interpretation of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard in the old Co-op building − was commissioned for Brighton Festival 2010. It broke box office records, playing to some 21,000 people including an unprecedented six-week extended run. This was followed by co-commission The Rest is Silence, a dreamlike meditation on Shakespeare's Hamlet, which premiered at Brighton Festival 2012 as part of the World Shakespeare Festival.
Artistic Director Tristan Sharps was Brighton Festival 2022's Guest Co-Director along with Syrian architect and author, Marwa al-Sabouni. Tristan and dreamthinkspeak presented a brand new work during the festival, titled Unchain Me.
