SPECTRUM: King Nommo

Wed 16 Mar 2016

King Nommo brings together a collective of Brighton musicians that maintain the raw energy of early authentic afrobeat, whilst incorporating influence from a broad musical palate. Featuring powerful Senegalese vocalist Kadim Saar and members of established bands such as resonators, The Gentle Mystics, Lakuta and Voodoo Love Orchestra. This exciting blend of culture and musical experience has enabled King Nommo to evolve into a unique sound.

Performing highlights to date include supporting Fela Kuti's keys player Dele Sosimi at The Afriganza Music Festival, headlining The Elephant Lounge Stage at Port Elliot Festival in Cornwall, and supporting Reggae legends The Gladiators at Concorde 2 in Brighton.
