The Homeless Library

The Homeless Library is a collection of books handmade by homeless people in Greater Manchester between 2014 - 2017.

Curated by arthur+martha whose work aims to give a voice to marginalised people, these unique books reflect homeless people's lived experiences, and their connection to the unwritten heritage of the homeless, through interviews, poetry and art.

Launched at the Houses of Parliament in 2016 and later exhibited at Southbank Centre, The Lancet described the exhibition as making a significant contribution to the welfare of homeless people.
