This month we have melded-minds with electronic music lifers Synthesize Me to come up with an evening of remarkable sonic excursions.
Synthesize Me is a Brighton club whose remit is 'bleeps, boings and beautiful noises: the entire history of electronic music in a single evening.' Opening in 2010, it takes place monthly at famed rock’n’roll Hotel Pelirocco. Focused on music, congeniality and occasional outbreaks of dancing, the night is renowned for Innerstrings’ Psychedelic Lightshow, and is overseen by hosts/resident DJs Thomas H Green, Chris Tomsett and Tom Mugridge.
Soccer 96
We are delighted to finally welcome these analogue dreamers to Spectrum. Soccer 96 is a drums and synth duo by Danalogue and Betamax, their humble aim to collide musical forces to cut through different states of your consciousness. The drums cymbolise the essence of now as particles of experience, while the synths communicate wave states of sentience. Free musical expression mixed with wild grooves elevates audience minds and bodies. Lush chords follow gritty bass grind wonk til Kraut energy pushes into dreams. You are now ready for harmonious light beams and laser battles overhead.
“My new favourite band” Steve Lamacq, BBC
“Fresh polyrhythmic electro with crisp live virtuoso drums. Highly recommended.” Tom Robinson BBC6
