Following the success of his solo shows earlier this year, Elvis Costello announces a 21-date UK tour called ‘Detour’ in the early summer of 2015.
Costello’s solo shows have been some of the most adventurous of his illustrious career.
This past year has seen him hit the stage of the legendary Paris venue, l‘Olympia and the Bela Bartok National Concert Hall in Budapest.
The New York Times said of his solo Carnegie Hall debut in June 2014, “Costello offered something else: a continuing, challenging, intimate engagement with his songs, old and new”.
In July, he played the re-opening concert at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea headlined at Kew Gardens and played an intimate show at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea before touring the capital cities and small towns of Europe for five weeks in Autumn.
Whatever the venue, this is not a show to be missed.
