Now in its third year, this mini-season gives you more than straightforward gigs or gallery installations. We go beyond to bring you boundary-breaking audio-visual works exactly as the artists imagined. Think immersion. Think beauty. And think sheer scale.

Bianca Casady & The C.i.A. : Porno Thietor
Fresh from David Byrne’s Meltdown at Southbank Centre, Bianca Casady steps out of the familiar context of CocoRosie to take to the stage with a new music performance project. Together with long time collaborators The C.i.A. and dancer Biño Sauitzvy, Bianca performs music from her upcoming album in a theatrical performance that marks her debut as a solo artist.
Outside of CocoRosie, Bianca Casady has been writing and recording songs for many years. Her new record began with a hundred-year-old untunable piano and a collection of dusty typewriters, as piles of poems filtered into songs. She followed these dusty songs to Argentina where she finished the recording and mixing of the album. Meanwhile for theatre, Bianca recently wrote and directed Mother Hunting at the National Theater in Oslo, Norway, and continues to create music for theatre director Robert Wilson.
