The Voice’s Mark De-Lisser to lead local choir as part of reggae celebration The Trojan Story
Gospel choir leader Mark De-Lisser – known for arranging Stand By Me for the 2018 Royal Wedding and working as a vocal coach on TV shows ranging from The Voice to Eurovision – will lead Brighton-based choir The Dulcetones as part of The Trojan Story in the Concert Hall this Saturday (29 Sep).
The Dulcetones will be singing hits such as Bob Marley’s Lively Up Yourself and Jimmy Cliff’s Wonderful World, Beautiful People, sharing the stage with Jazz Jamaica All Stars and singers Brinsley Forde, Noel McKoy and Dem Three to celebrate 50 years of Trojan Records. Jazz Jamaica Artistic Director, Gary Crosby, has hand-picked established and rising stars to perform, including award-winning saxophonists Denys Baptiste and Camilla George, trumpeter Mark Kavuma, and Shirley Tetteh on guitar. They will be joined by members of the jazz string quartet, Tomorrow’s Warriors StringTing.
