A talk by Alexandra Loske, Curator of the Royal Pavilion about the history of the magnificent Royal Stables and Riding School (now Brighton Dome Concert Hall and Corn Exchange) commissioned by King George IV, when he was Prince Regent, and created by William Porden between 1803 and 1808.

Drawing on unusual and rarely seen images and objects from Brighton & Hove Museums’ collections and archives, Alexandra will track the story of King George IV’s and Queen Victoria’s love for all things equestrian, with a nod to contemporary equestrian sculpture.
