This isn't just a cabaret; it's a full-throttle, genre-bending celebration of defiance and creativity. Hosted by the fabulous Erin Enfys, Disabled + Disobedient brings you an eclectic line up of the best deaf, disabled and neurodivergent talent on offer.

Headlined by Birmingham based drag king Crip Ladywood, with performances from Joni-Rae Carrack, OCARINA and Paggy Gacheva.

Disabled + Disobedient is co-produced by Brighton Dome & Erin Enfys, and aims to benefit and platform local deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists, creatives and audiences

Erin Enfys (they/them)

Erin Enfys (they/them) is a disabled, neurodivergent and queer-non binary performer, writer, and musician based in Brighton. They trained in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music and have had a diverse career in theatre, film and musicals. They create subversive, authentic, community-driven performances that are informed by their own lived experience.

Crip Ladywood (he/they)

Crip Ladywood rolled onto the Birmingham drag scene in late 2021 and has been going from strength to strength, winning one of Europes biggest Drag King contest, ManUp! 2024. As one of the UK's only wheelchair-using drag artists, Crip wants to spread joy, love, and lots of laughs. Self-styled as “Birmingham's fruitiest vegetable”, he challenges stereotypes and idiosyncrasies through entertainment.

​When not in drag Crip's alter ego Emma (they/them), has over a decade of experience in disabled peoples' activism and campaigning and is currently the Access Lead of Birmingham Pride, a director of Queer Stage Revolution, and a proud Equity member.

Joni-Rae Carrack (she/her)

Joni-Rae Carrack is a theatre-maker specialising in puppetry whose work explores mental health, disability and working with biography. Making theatre and art is her way of understanding life and human stories, including her own. She also currently works as the Resident Artist for CW+’s Arts For All Program at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

She will be joined for her set by Iain Scott, a multi-instrumentalist, improviser and director. Iain's work focuses on using music to explore the sense of identity and self and looks to combine traditional Scottish folk music with modern drone and ambient styles.

OCARINA (they/them)

OCARINA is a QTIPOC popstar, producer and poet. Combining honest and emotional lyrics with pop production, OCARINA explores themes of identity, heartbreak and mental health. After songwriting for most their life, OCARINA began producing in 2020 and released their first single friendfriend in 2023. Since then they have been working to release their first EP BLUEPRINT which will is coming out on Thu 10 Oct. Putting the 'style' in disorganised attachment style, they will get you singing, dancing and maybe even crying.

Paggy Gacheva (she/they)

Paggy Gacheva is a Brighton-based comedian with a high-energy, surreal style. She is the creator of Stimmicanto, a four-star, award-nominated show about autistic joy.  

The show has had three runs: two Brighton Fringe runs and one off-West End run. Paggy loves creating work that merges different styles of comedy such as stand-up and clown.
