This Sierra Leone-born multiinstrumentalist has spent a long and varied career bringing West Africa’s folk and street music to the world. Described by The Guardian as 'the best exponent of African dance music, Abdul's seven-piece band Rokoto (the nickname of an area of Freetown) brings the ever-popular rhythms and melodies of palm-wine and highlife to Brighton Dome.
