Sam Lee
Mon 1 Dec 2014
Both a singer and a collector of songs, Sam Lee has spent years searching the country for the Roma, Gypsy and Traveller communities, who have passed their songs down the generations and gathered the songs that they have sung for him. This collection formed the basis for his Mercury nominated debut album Ground of Its Own, which he brought to Brighton Festival 2013.
His latest album, The Fade In Time is a distinctive and radical reinterpretation of the British folk tradition, steeped in drama, love, violence, lore and magic.
