We are sorry to announce the cancellation of The History of Brighton Festival talk on Fri 24 Apr. This is due to the latest Government advice that the public should avoid contact in social spaces, including theatres. All ticket buyers will be contacted.
This special talk will take an in-depth look at the history of Brighton Festival. From the Summer of Peace in 1814 when the end of the Napoleonic wars was celebrated with a street party for 7,000 people, to 2009 when a traffic jam was caused on the Brighton bypass by people queuing to experience Anish Kapoor’s C-Curve.
