Schumann String Quartet in F major Op. 41 No. 2
Stravinsky Three pieces
Schumann String Quartet in A major Op. 41 No. 3
Elias String Quartet returns to Brighton for the first of two concerts in this year's Coffee Concerts series. For their Brighton Festival residency The Elias String Quartet fulfilled a long-held dream to perform all of Beethoven’s string quartets as a cycle: it was these late quartets that inspired Schumann’s String Quartet No.2 and No.3, which Elias String Quartet performs here, alongside Stravinsky’s Russian folk-inspired String Quartet No.2.
