Little Dog Barking

Duck, Death and the Tulip

‘I had a smile on my face throughout, even when there was a lump in my throat as well’ Fringe Review

An award-winning performance for every small child and their grown-up friends.

Adapted for the stage from the acclaimed book by German illustrator Wolf Erlbruch, it tells the story of a heart-warming friendship between a playful duck and a character called Death.

Duck and Death meet, drink tea together, go swimming in the pond, climb a tree, and keep each other warm. Duck asks lots of questions. Duck learns that Death is a constant companion, a part of life.

Through mime, magic and puppets, the production deals with the difficult subject of death in a deceptively simple way.
