Communications Officer
Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is looking to recruit a full-time Communications Officer to help plan and execute media and digital campaigns for events across our three venues, Brighton Festival and Create Music – one of the largest music education services in the UK.
You will be joining the organisation at a busy time so will need to be flexible, reliable and team-oriented in your approach to work, with a positive can-do attitude. You will be responsible for securing high quality, impactful media coverage across a range of regional media outlets, including print, online and broadcast for our year-round events programme and will support on the communications campaign for Brighton Festival working with an external PR agency.
You will work with colleagues in Marketing to ensure Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival and Create Music’s stories are told across the organisation’s social media channels.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and copywriter with excellent attention to detail, ideally with previous experience in a communications role. You will be capable of building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders with a keen interest in arts and entertainment, comfortable using your initiative and working collaboratively with colleagues, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
