Together: Refugee Week at Brighton Dome
6 Jul 2018
This year marked 20 years of Refugee Week and Sanctuary on Sea set out to make sure the celebrations in Brighton & Hove were as big and as inclusive as possible. Brighton Dome was proud to host the final event 'Together', a culmination of the week's celebrations, on Sun 24 Jun.
People from all communities came together to devise a fantastic programme of activities for the day. Open to all, it kicked off with a glittering parade led by the Hummingbird Project in collaboration with Same Sky, followed by free art, music, theatre and dance workshops, exhibitions and performances, games and table tennis, delicious food and much more.
'Together' was one of many events taking place across the country a s part of the Great Get Together weekend, in celebration of Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common.
There was a wonderful atmosphere and a warm Brightonian welcome was extended to all. Here we look back at the day with a photo blog.
