Have you thought about leaving our arts charity a gift in your will?
Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival holds a special place in the hearts of many. Maybe you went to your first gig here, saw some spectacular circus during the Festival or have magical memories of one of our Christmas shows?
Each year we present over 600 events from music to theatre, dance to comedy and literature to spoken word. Will you help us keep the arts alive for future generations by leaving us a legacy in your will?
Did you know that leaving a gift in your will to Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival could reduce the amount of inheritance tax you pay? You could leave a percentage of your estate to us without affecting the amount you give to your loved ones.
- We have teamed up with Make a Will Online (MaWO) and are going to be running campaigns throughout the year where we offer you the chance to make a free will with them.
- Get advice on making a Will from local solicitors, Mayo Wynne Baxter, or another firm of solicitors.
Brighton Dome, Brighton Festival and our music education service, Create Music, need to continue to raise funds to ensure we survive, develop and thrive for many years to come. We want to continue our successful cultural work at the heart of our city and across the region, for future generations.
A gift in your will would help us make our ambitions become a reality for the artists, participants, and audiences of tomorrow.
Have you already pledged to leave a gift to us in your will? If so, thank you! Please could you complete this Pledge Form so we can monitor how much we might receive in the future? This helps us with vital forward planning.
Did you know that every year:
- More than 600 artists take part in Brighton Festival
- We support more than 250 artists to develop their work and their careers
- 650,000 people visit our iconic historic venue, Brighton Dome, to see a show
- Over 18,000 young people from across East Sussex participate in our Create Music education service. Many go on to be professional and amateur musicians.
- 20,000 individuals and families take part in our community-based workshops
Clare Rogers, Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival Patron, tells us why she is leaving a gift in her Will:

“I was born in Brighton and fortunate to have so much theatre and arts in my hometown. Brighton Festival in May just brings the city to life. My favourite memory must be meeting Vanessa Redgrave at a dinner for patrons, when she was a guest Festival director. I love film and theatre, and she’s a complete legend!
When making my Will I was asked by my solicitor if I wanted to leave money to charity. It really made me think of the charities I support now, in life. It made sense to leave something to Brighton Dome & Festival as I’ve had many years of pleasure from the arts.”
