Brighton favourite, Ida Barr returns to Brighton Dome with her brand new show, Slipped Disco.
Ida, proud OAP and rap star, once graced the Music Hall stages of the world, but now she’s out of retirement and mashing up the best of the old-fashioned music hall with the best of contemporary Hip Hop and R’n’B.
Slipped Disco includes Ida’s trademark singalongs and unique comedy observations about life as a poverty-stricken older woman in modern London’s East End. Trigger warnings, may contain references to Gaviscon and Deep Heat. An Ida Barr show is communal joy, with fresh rhythms and bars, a chance to celebrate the complexity and absurdity of life in the company of a old-time stage pro.
