An Oak Tree
The ground-breaking play by Tim Crouch with a different guest revealed each night: Rory Kinnear | Fisayo Akinade | Ruth Wilson
A rare chance to see Tim Crouch's ground-breaking classic.
When it opened in 2005, An Oak Tree changed the rules of the game, bringing into the action a guest actor who hasn’t seen or read the play. Previous guests include David Tennant, Jessie Buckley, Frances McDormand, F Murray Abraham, Russell Tovey, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Meera Syal and many more.
When I say sleep, you’re free again.
Tim Crouch plays a hypnotist, the guest actor plays a father. The father loses his daughter in a car accident, the hypnotist was driving the car. The two meet when the father volunteers for the hypnotist's act and what unfolds is a bold and absurdly comic play about loss, suggestion and the power of the mind.
No two shows are the same, with a different guest actor who will be revealed on the night.
