Lumas Winds are a dynamic, young chamber ensemble based in London made up of recent graduates from the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music. They are committed ambassadors for wind chamber music and the rich variety of repertoire that it offers.

Their main focus is to perform, promote and make a case for works that aren't in the canon but deserve to be so. This is highlighted in the six hidden gems that will feature on their debut album being released in 2023 with Champs Hill Records. The disc brings together wind quintet music from every decade from 1960 to 2010 and includes three world premiere recordings.

The group recently won the 2023 Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition Mixed Ensembles Prize and were recipients of a Tunnell Trust award, earning them a tour of Scottish music clubs in 2024. In the near future Lumas will be a part of the 2023 Winchester Chamber Music Festival which will include a performance of Francis Poulenc’s Sextet alongside pianist and composer Huw Watkins
