In the last 10 months, James has sold out an unprecedented run of shows for an artist yet to release his third EP, in London alone he has filled Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, Dingwalls, 2 nights at St Stephens Church, Scala and Koko.
His debut single ‘Hold Back The River’ is currently playlisted at Radio 1 and the accompanying video reached over a quarter of a million views in under a week. The ‘Hold Back The River EP’ is released on 24th November via Virgin EMI.
2014 has been quite the year for James Bay, the 23 year old from Hitchin has become one of the most talked about new artists around and his list of achievements so far are incredible for someone yet to release an album. As well as a run of sell out tours, he soundtracked the Burberry SS15 show, stepped into the Radio 1 Live Lounge where he blew everyone away with an unforgettable performance of ‘Let It Go’ and was trending No.1 on Twitter in the UK. His EP of the same name hit No. 7 in the iTunes album chart and he has just returned from supporting Hozier on tour across the US.
