Brighton Festival Chorus and Youth Choir are joined by 125 young performers from local schools to perform a new choral work Invictus - Cantata for Liberty. Sung in English, this is an accessible, inspiring piece about the signing of the Magna Carta and its impact on the laws of the land. Celebrating universal themes of freedom and self expression and using text from Kipling to Emily Dickinson, Invictus - Cantata for Liberty will entertain adults and children alike.
After the interval Brighton Festival Chorus will perform Mozart’s world famous Requiem. With introductions from the stage and an excerpt from Amadeus, this will be a fantastic introduction to choral work on a big scale!
