If I Could Only Remember My Name: The Music of David Crosby
An evening celebrating the musical genius of late American songwriter David Crosby
The Staves, Kris Drever (Lau) and Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) play the music of late American songwriter David Crosby.
This special show revisits the ground breaking psychedelic folk record If I Could Only Remember My Name, initially recorded with a star-studded line up of Crosby’s Laurel Canyon friends and cohorts, including Joni Mitchell, Jerry Garcia and Neil Young. The performance also includes a selection of Crosby’s music from his time with the Byrds, Crosby, Still, Nash & Young and his later solo work
The Musical Director for the project is Kate St John who has gathered together an all star house band:
Ed Harcourt - Keys + Featured vocalist
Margo Buchanan – Featured vocalist
Michelle Willis – Featured vocalist + Keys
Kate St. John – Vocals + Cor anglais
Robbie McIntosh – Guitars
Adam Chetwood – Guitars
Evan Jenkins – Drums
Ben Nicholls – Bass
Ernesto Marichales – Congas & Percussion
Unfortunately due to illness BC Camplight is no longer able to perform in the show. All his songs will still be a part of the event performed by other members of this special line-up. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him to Brighton Dome on Fri 14 Feb for our second Record Label Night with Bella Union
