James McVinnie Brighton Dome Organ Recital

'James McVinnie dispatches his performances with great vitality' The Telegraph

In 1936 a tailor-made Hill, Norman & Beard dual-purpose concert organ was installed in Brighton Dome Concert Hall to replace the original 1850 model.

Acclaimed organist James McVinnie takes to the stage this lunchtime for the first of two special concerts on this historic instrument. This matinee performance features compositions by Sufjan Stevens, Philip Glass, Nico Muhly, Percy Whitlock and J S Bach.

James will also be playing Philip Glass on the organ in an evening performance. Buy a £16 combined ticket for both shows
