BC Camplight (solo performance)
BC Camplight is the stage name for Philadelphian turned Mancunian songsmith Brian Christinzio. Considered one of indie music's most idiosyncratic artists, Christinzio will be performing a special solo set as part of this event celebrating his long-term record label, Bella Union. Brian says 'As much as I love full band performances I feel at home when it's just me and my piano. There's something about playing these songs in their purest form that thrills me. The freedom to do whatever I want each night. To get to do this in intimate venues where there will be genuine connections made in the room makes this all the more special.'
deary
deary comprises of London based musicians Ben & Dottie, creating wistful dream pop. Described as 'a sonic tidal wave of feeling', their eponymous debut EP was released via Sonic Cathedral in November 2023, and praised upon its release by the likes of Clash, Brooklyn Vegan, BBC 6 Music, KEXP and Under The Radar. The duo also achieved a UK #1 (Vinyl Singles) with their debut single Fairground in May 2023, before supporting Slowdive and Cranes in the following months. They released two singles in 2024 (The Moth in June and Selene in July) and embarked on their first headline UK Tour in November
LuxJury
LuxJury came late to the queer party but made great cliff notes along the way. The cliff notes were put to music which translated into alternative, positive, autobiographical pop guitar music about the messy joy of the queer experience. The music is indie at its most creative with catchy lines that dig deep into your subconscious and haunt you in the shower.
Naming George Michael, the Cardigans, the Eels, and the Vampyros Lesbos film soundtrack as their main inspirations, LuxJury draws from their combined influences, fusing elements of pop, rock and soul-baring lyricism to create their own distinctively captivating sound. Catch them before they become too big to respond to all Instagram messages individually.
Bella Union
One of the most celebrated and loved independent record labels, not only in the UK, but in the world. Set up in 1997 by Cocteau Twins members Simon Raymonds and Robin Guthrie, Raymonde took the label on himself when Guthrie moved overseas. The Brighton-based label has become known for it’s incredible roster of artists making, melodic, uplifting and progressive music, including Father John Misty, Beach House, The Dirty Three, Explosions in the Sky, Fleet Foxes, Mercury Rev, Spiritualised, John Grant, Midlake, The Low Anthem, White Denim, Personal Trainer, Pom Poko, Ezra Furman, The Flaming Lips, Warmduscher, Lanterns on the Lake, Penelope Isles, Dream Girl and Jambinai, among many more
